Contribution to climate change: Promotes and preserves the knowledge, languages, and cultures of Indigenous peoples. Strengthening these cultures indirectly supports climate change mitigation, as Indigenous peoples are recognized as the most effective guardians of forests and carbon stocks.

Use of technology: A collaborative digital platform that collects, organizes, and provides access to dictionaries and linguistic materials in dozens of Brazilian Indigenous languages.

Examples of application:

  • Open access to dictionaries, grammars, and glossaries in Indigenous languages, promoting the appreciation and teaching of these languages in both Indigenous and non-Indigenous schools.

  • A tool for researchers, educators, and Indigenous leaders to document, transmit, and value traditional knowledge, which is essential for environmental conservation strategies.
